Perfect

Our Maine Coon has long legs, and so having something wide and tall was a must. This giant cat scratcher is exactly what she needed. We recently learned she prefers carpet to sisal, and so we imagine this being used for many years to come! After doing a deep dive into google for quality cat poles I came across this website. I'll be sure to reccomend to friends and family who are in the market for something durable and well made. Thank you for providing a world class product!

Worth it

I was hesitant to purchase this as I hadn't heard of the site but loved the brand. However I definitely recommend this company. Not only did they have amazing customer service, and the quality of the scratcher is amazing, they clearly know how cats are and this shows in their products. I cannot recommend this enough. My cats like to play fight for the top spot and love to scale the scratcher, plus they actually use it as a scratcher. They went from cats who only used those cardboard floor pads to consistently using this scratcher. I'm so happy I listened to the other reviews as they were what persuaded me

Amazing Cat Scratcher!

Best one for my cats. Holds their body weight, doesn't move and the carpet material is amazing to keep them off my furniture! My boy Miso is 5.3kgs and doesn't tumble over!

Great!

Awesome huge scratching post. Both our cats love it and it's super sturdy so it doesn't wobble when our chunky 6.5kg boy climbs up it!

Cat scratcher

Absolutely love this cat scratcher for my tiny cat! I wondered if it maybe too big for her, but in less that a minute she jumped on it and went mad! I've never seen her so happy! She absolutely loves it, wish I bought it sooner, she no longer attacks my couches and clothes on my washing line! Good success 😊

Awesome Giant

Love our new scratch post.
Our old smaller one was yours too which two cats have lovingly pulled apart over the last 7 years so figured that a replacement had to be the same brand as it has done so well.
Went with the Giant so Mac can get a full stretch in.
Thanks.
PS Mac says thanks too.

Solid and looks great

I bought this for my rescue cat. She's scared of most things but also very curious. She's had a few bats at the toy dangling from the top and a couple of times she's climbed halfway up before leaping off. It might take her a while to warm up to it but I'm happy to have it sitting there waiting for her as it's a good-looking piece of furniture. I initially emailed the team at Comfypet as I wasn't sure what I wanted to get or what would be best for my cat. I was very impressed with their customer service and their quick delivery.

Very sturdy and much loved by our chonky ragdoll

After ripping apart other scratching posts that couldn't keep standing under the wrath of our ragdoll, we decided to drop the cash on something that was going to stand the test of time, and our chonky boi's weight and menace. The KatAttack giant scratching post has done just that. This little fella isn't just getting a good scratch in either, he's hugging, climbing, launching at and perching on top of the post thanks to its extra stability and diameter.

From Scratch to Finish: The Superior Raw Materials of Our Cat Scratchers

Triboard
The cornerstone of our 10-Year Structural Warranty is the base and landings of our Cat Trees, constructed from 100% sustainable New Zealand Radiata pine. This material not only meets rigorous quality and environmental standards, but its stability offers unparalleled load-bearing and screw-holding capabilities. While it may be more costly, we view this as an essential investment in the longevity of our Cat Trees, especially given the current high demand.

Pine Poles
Our upright poles, the backbone of our Cat Trees, are built from solid 100mm thick New Zealand pine. The carpeting on these poles is firmly glued and stapled, allowing for longevity and easy recovery even after your cat has extensively used the surface. This feature ensures that our products are both sustainable and extendable over time.

Carpet
Our choice of carpet material prioritises your cat's safety and comfort. We exclusively use cut pile carpets, which are less likely to catch your cat's claws compared to loop pile varieties. Many of the high-quality carpets we utilise are locally sourced from New Zealand. For example, the Cavalier Bremworth carpet, which can cost upwards of $300 per linear meter, is extensively used in our products. In fact, our popular New Yorker model requires more than 2.25 linear meters of this carpet.

Sisal
Our top-quality, maritime-grade Sisal is carefully hand-wound onto our uprights, secured with industrial staples for maximum durability. Crafted to withstand even the most ambitious feline with a fierce spirit, our Sisal proves to be the strongest available on the market. So, for cats that channel their inner tiger, we say: let the scratching games begin!

Colours and Extras

Within the shopping cart's section, there is a box in which you can enter your request. Let us know if you like a colour that you have seen on any of our other models, and we will do our best to accommodate your request to have that colour applied to this model.

Because we construct each of our trees in-house, we are able to fulfil the majority of our customers' needs. There is a possibility that this will incur additional costs, however we will tell you of these costs before we construct your unit.

Once more, this is something that we are able to perform for an additional fee. You can send us an email with your request, and we will respond with a price estimate.

That is dependent upon your feline friend. Sisal is durable enough to survive the claws of a cat for many months or even years. Nevertheless, some felines like the plusher texture of carpet.

Delivery

If you choose one of our bigger cat trees, it may take a bit longer to arrive as these units are made to order. Your tracking information will be sent to you immediately after your item/s are shipped. To transport them around New Zealand, for our larger trees we strap and pack them on pallets once they've left our factory you will be contacted by our bulk freight company.

Absolutely not! Each of our cat trees is shipped out of our factory in a completely built state. Once our cat trees have been delivered, you will not need to screw or glue them together.

We do, and we've already sent New Yorkers to Australia. It is not cheap, and you must email us with your address to receive a firm quote. The cost of shipping a New Yorker to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Adelaide by sea is around $1227.35.

We do not pass on the complete cost of freight because it is prohibitively expensive to ship huge cat trees within New Zealand. Consider that transporting a New Yorker to your location would be similar to sending a sizable refrigerator there.

Recovering my old scratcher

Yes, if it's one of our own. If it's possible to bring it to our facility, we can usually have it restored to its original condition within a week. A fee will be charged if you live in Auckland and want us to pick up and drop off.

Depending on the model, most cat trees only require the uprights to be refurbished. Single posts typically range between $40 and $70, and large cat trees require an email with a photo so that we can provide you with an accurate quote.

We are unable to do so due to the fact that the vast majority of scratching posts sold in pet stores are constructed of cardboard, which makes it difficult for our carpet to adhere to.
